Privacy
Fool the Chat is a game about whether media is real, generated, or hybrid. We also run a research project: votes and eligible items may later train an AI-versus-real detector. Player screens do not say we are collecting training data. This page does.
Controller: MKR Unlimited. No mailing address is published.
We collect account data (email, hashed password, sign-in provider), play events (every vote as an immutable record: user, item, choice, optional reason, skill at the time, timestamps), uploads you submit, device/account limits used to stop vote rings, and standard server logs.

Age
Fool the Chat is 13+.
Training use is off unless you turn on research consent in your profile, and unless an item is Gold or Verified with an explicit rights grant. Unresolved Help items are not training labels. URL-discussion submissions store a hash and preview, not a full-resolution copy, when you mark them that way.
We hash-block uploads. User Help and Challenge uploads stay closed until a licensed hash-match provider is configured. A match is blocked immediately and written to a sealed block log. It is never placed on a product-team human review queue. There is no designated reporting contact on this page.
We do not sell a public detector API in this version. Operator-only detector scores are not shown as answers on Help cards.
